The Founders made the press a First Amendment priority in the United States Constitution as a â€Å"protected role† to act as a check on elected officials. The press was part of the Constitutional â€Å"checks and balances† in holding elected officials accountable and to be observant for exploitation, as the press were in essence â€Å"the eyes and ears of the people.† Freedom of the press is the irrefutable privilege to propagate opinions in print without censorship by the government. Americans enjoy freedom of the press under the First Amendment to the Constitution, which states: â€Å"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the†¦show more content†¦Synchronously, in a ‘revival’ of the two most credible (progressive leaning) newspaper juggernauts, the Post and Times, are the saving grace in protecting our American democracy and way of life. Assisting the American public to view and absorb â€Å"real facts† and â€Å"evidence,† in order to expose the new most corrupt President in United States history, Donald J. Trump. What the press has done in investigative journalism is nothing short of the very best of American know-how, pride and grit. With the additional evidence constantly leaking through the current White House like a sieve, is overwhelmingly apparent to the majority of political pundits and syndicated columnists, that this author is going to be proven completely and irrefutably accurate†¦ The abuse of this power is also just as frightening as a sitting President being controlled or manipulated by a foreign power, in order to undermine the American government and its supportive political structure, in hopes of weakening there most hated nemesis, the United States of America. And on that account, that brings us to U.S. news organization, Fox News†¦ There is such a thing as ‘alternative-facts’ however, it is better known by its ancient Latin name, known to us all as pure bull-shit.
